2003 NEC Motorcycle Show
() The Quads display at the motorcycle show was a mixed affair, some brands well represented and others not.
Yamaha was notable for it's lack or quads. Having had all the sports range at the show in previous years, only Raptor 50 and 80 kids quads were on the stand. We're guessing that Yamaha were trying to avoid being asked why their quads aren't road legal by not having any at the show.
Honda managed to get a single, well used 400EX onto their stand. |
SUZUKI
 | |
Suzuki had LT80, LTZ250 & LTZ400 on display with their usual high quality display as a backdrop. | POLARIS
 | |
The new 2004 Troy Lee Designs, Black and Orange, Predator could be found on the datatag stand just a few meters from Polaris' Victory stand. | KAWASAKI
 | |
Kawasaki had their new V-Force 700 CVT sports machine on display, the big machine was receiving interested looks from onlookers, sadly their 400cc machine was not on the stand. |
MOTOROMA
 | The Barrus stand was filled with solos, quads and buggies, this year they had a much higher quality range of buggies, which seem to be the same quality as the honda pilots from the 1980s. One of the buggies is fully road legal as a quadricycle, having a 125cc engine mounted behind the rider.
The 150cc quad which was previewed in prototype form last year on their stand was on display in it's final production version, fitted with indicators and sold fully road legal as an "URBAN 150 QUAD", it will be available in January, whilst it's larger 300cc brother will be available later in the spring.

APRILIA
 | |
The Aprilia stand unexpectedly had a road legal (kids sized) 50cc quad (light quadricycle) hidden in a corner. The styling of the machine is up to the usual quality of the Aprilia motorcycles, how long before they produce an adult sized machine with a larger capacity engine.
