Location: Lea, Wiltshire

The 2006 GYTR Yamaha Maxxis QRA British Quad Championship Open Class overall champion is Steve Atkins supported by ARK ATV Honda.

2nd place, after a mighty battle till the end was multi times QRA British Champion Paul Winrow on his Interlock Honda. Paul was leading the race with Atkins in 4th behind the two Davies’s which if the positions had stayed that way would have given Winrow the championship, when his chain snapped – the rest as they say is history.

3rd place overall was well earnt by the very consistent Andy Downes on the Yamaha 450. Just 2 points behind Downes in 4th spot this year is Andrew Davies, winner of the last round of the championship at Lea on the K4 Suzuki after a very close battle with Brother Simon Davies to the chequered flag, also riding a 450 Suzuki which could have changed those final championship positions.

Well done to all the riders in the championship and to all those people, clubs and supporters who have helped the QRA
